About Us

The New York State Health Accountability Foundation is a public-private partnership dedicated to promoting transparency in the health care system and providing employers and consumers with reliable, independent information on health care cost and quality.

Founded in 1998, and funded by New York State grants, the Health Accountability Foundation

publishes standardized performance data on health plans, hospitals, nursing homes and physicians
promotes value-based health care purchasing by encouraging payers and others to reward quality and efficiency
helps providers improve by benchmarking their performance against others and providing best practices information
helps patients make informed choices about their care.

The New York Business Group on Health - NYBGH is New York's leading forum for corporate health policy and information. Founded in 1982, the NYBGH is a not-for-profit coalition of 150 businesses, and is the only organization in the New York metropolitan area exclusively devoted to employer health benefit issues.
